Cisse shoots down Chelsea

Cisse scoring the first of his 2 goals.Chelsea lost for the first time this season, as Newcastle Utd gave a superb performance to beat the Premier League leaders 2-1 at St. James's Park. There are now only 3 points between Chelsea and Manchester City at the top of the table, after City beat Everton 1-0. Cisse came off the subsitutes bench in the 53rd minute, and within 5 minutes he had put the hosts ahead. After 78 minutes, Newcastle extended their lead, when Cisse scored a second after a quick counter-attack. Newcastle defender, Steven Taylor, got a red card and Didier Drogba scored for Chelsea, but Newcastle held on for a famous win. Jose Mourinho has now played 5 Premier League matches at St. James's Park and never won!

"That was about character and discipline against probabaly the best team in Europe at the moment."  Alan Pardew, Newcastle Utd manager.

Hi Hsn

Thanks for the comment. I think that in general use, any kind of communication with God is described as praying in English. There may be more specific terms used within religious communities for thanksgiving. I might be wrong so I will change the comment on the photo. It might be better to say that he is worshipping God, but the distinction between worship and prayer in general English is not very clear.

Thanks

Jack

I work as a coach, wich is the "job of my dreams".
I've recently read about Gilberto Silva's story, while he tells that until he was 19 he's still working at a supermarket, I think.

Many footballers do other jobs in the same time, mostly from smaller countries like San Marino, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Faroe Islands. I would like to work in a zoo.

I think that's little early to declare player of the week, because the gameweek isn't over yet.
Anyway, great text and great game for him this week.

You was right. Last night, no one has scored three goals.
Van Persie with two goals brought victory Manchester United against Southampton.
This week the best rated player within the Fantasy Premier League was Andy Carroll from West Ham. He crowned his excellent game with two goals and one assist, and so brought victory to his team against Swansea to the delight of fans Vest Ham.

Hi Aljabarty,

The statement you have quoted from the player profile means the same as you have written; 'to profit' from something, means to get a benefit from that thing.

A rather accurate read, although I have to point out, Newcastle do have more trophies than Sunderland. A European trophy tops it, having 12 or 13 major trophies I think it is I think, to Sunderlands 8?

That aside, it is fascinating learning about 'previous lives' so to speak. Who would have thought a prem player used to be an ambulance driver
