Kane scores again!
Tottenham were involved in the only Premier League match last weekend, and they took full advantage with a 2-1 win away to QPR. Spurs' main striker, Harry Kane, scored both goals. He opened the scoring after 34 minutes with a header, when QPR goalkeeper, Robert Green, failed to collect a cross. In the 68th minute, Kane doubled Tottenham's advantage, when he ran through the centre of QPR's defence, before rounding the keeper and putting the ball into an empty net. QPR pulled a goal back, through Brazilian midfielder - Sandro, but it wasn't enough. Spurs are now only 3 points away from a Champions League place, whereas another defeat for QPR leaves them in the relegation zone.
"It was a fantastic performance and he scored two goals." Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs manager.
Is Kane playing well?
Kane now has 16 Premier League goals this season, and is only one goal behind Diego Costa and Sergio Aguero in the race for this season's golden boot. As a young player, Kane found it difficult to break into Tottenham's first-team, With players like Gareth Bale, Jermaine Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor in his favourite position, most players would find this difficult! He was sent out on loan to four different clubs. He played for Leyton Orient (3rd level), Milwall (2nd level), Norwich City (Premier League) and Leicester City (2nd level) and Kane believes his time on loan at lower level clubs helped him break into the Spurs team at the end of the 2013/14 season.

Have Spurs ever played in the Champions League?
Spurs have played once in the Champions League, in 2010/11. They beat both Inter Milan and AC Milan on their way to the quarter-finals, where they lost to Real Madrid. Harry Kane is definitely a big player. A real star. If Spurs didn't have him, they would be struggling really hard to survive in the PL.
