Congratulations Rema! You are our Leaderboard Champion 2014/15!
Rema from Serbia is our first ever Leaderboard Champion on Premier Skills English. Rema, a West Ham United fan, collected an amazing 1332 points throughout the season! He also posted over 100 comments, which is more than any other learner on Premier Skills English. Rema has also been very quick and very helpful in pointing out anything that needs changing on the website. On reaching the top of our leaderboard, Rema said:
"If my counting is right, I'm now on the top of the leaderboard. I chose this topic to win one point to conquered the top. Now, I'm the leader ;)" Rema - Our Leaderboard Champion.
Thanks to everyone who has collected points this season and congratulations if you made it in to our top 10. The Premier League season 2015/16 has already started, so it's time to start Premier Skills English 2015/16, too! Will you be Premier Skills English Champion 2015/16?
Georgia wins the top country prize!
Our first Country Champions are Georgia. Georgia ran away with the prize this season and got nearly double the amount of points of any other country! The victory was largely thanks to zaza977, Dimitr2015 and NinoGeorgia, who all finished in the top 10. It was great to see a wide selection of countries in the top 10. Europe represented by Spain, Poland, Serbia, Russia and Ukraine; Asia by Vietnam; South America by Brazil and Colombia; and Central America by Mexico. Did your country make the top 10? Maybe you can help your country to the top in 2015/16?
Country | Place | Points |
Georgia | 1st | 3367 |
Vietnam | 2nd | 2526 |
Poland | 3rd | 2505 |
Spain | 4th | 1927 |

Mexico | 10th | 1002 |
Just like real life!
Remember that when you score points, you also score points for your favourite club. And there was a close battle to win the Premier Skills English Club Championship! Manchester Utd won the title, the Red Devils finished 240 points ahead of Chelsea in second place. Actually, our club table looked very similar to real life, three of the four Champions League places were the same - only Liverpool missed out! The three relegated clubs were identical to the ones relegated from the Premier League last season. The biggest surprise in our table was West Ham Utd, who finished 6th, but in the Premier League finished 12th. Can you get your favourite club to the top of our table in 2015/16?
Place | Club | Points |
1st | Manchester United | 11640 |
2nd | Chelsea | 11410 |
3rd | Arsenal | 5604 |
4th | Liverpool | 4467 |
5th | Manchester City | 1950 |
6th | West Ham Utd | 1503 |
7th | Tottenham Hotspur | 862 |
8th | Southampton | 431 |
9th | Newcastle Utd | 361 |
10th | Crystal Palace | 348 |
Competition Winners!
Every season we have lots of competitions to give you a chance to win some great prizes. Last summer started with our World Cup competition, when we gave away 32 Samsung Galaxy tablets in 32 days. We had happy winners from Bulgaria to Malaysia and Palestine to Argentina. During the 2014/15 season, we also had happy winners in our lesson plan competition who won laptops, tablets and British Council online courses. Alisa from Bosnia and Herzegovina won first prize and Tatyana from Russia was one of our runners-up.
You can check out all the winners on our lesson plan competition page. Most recently, we have given away a Premier League shirt in our podcast competition. VerdeMead96 from Poland was the lucky winner of that competition! Keep an eye on our podcasts because in the next few weeks, there will be more chances to win some fantastic prizes!

I like English language and to follow P. S.E. I should be treated because I'm addicted it-:) It's my hobby. Thanks for your best efforts.
I wish if our grammatical mistakes are corrected by the teachers.
You could make interviews with footballers, managers not only related football but also about their life, feeling , hopes targets so on.

Yes!! My country finished 7th place and my club 4th!
I recently "discovered" the page through Spotify Podcasts. And now I'm getting used to access almost every day of the week during two hours at least. I really enjoy the listening and viewing activities.
If you were able to visit some PL training facilities and bring us the opportunity to live by distance a club daily routine, it would be amazing!

My country name doesn´t appear on the list, so it's not a top list team. Liverpool was fourth.
I like all the activities I have seen and done. That's an amazing way of learning because language is related to what learners love to do, and football is followed all over the world.

It would be even better if you could post more stories about the football history, FA cup winners, local derbies, players that became leading stars of their teams, something from their interesting biographies etc.

Every week I can't wait to read new article on PL. The good thing is that a special attention is focused on the players that broke records or scored goals in derbies or important matches.

First of all, big congratulations to Rema, you fully deserved to be the Champion! I'm also very delighted with my 4th place but I hope for improving this season. My compatriots did well so my country finished 3rd and my favourite club finished at the top! I love everything about Premier Skills English. I like questions at the end of every article because they encourage us to write comments and discuss the topic between each other. From new features the opportunity to collect awards sounds great to me as well. Answering the last question, I think it would be awesome if there was something like a historic section where we would find some articles about the Premier League in the past, important matches, legendary players , etc. The PL has a rich history and not only would we learn some new vocabulary but also find out about some interesting facts.
