City thrash Palace!
Manchester City thrashed Crystal Palace 5-0 last weekend to move up to third place in the Premier League. City scored their fastest goal of the season when David Silva scored after only two minutes. The score stayed at 1-0 until the second half which is when City ran riot! Kevin de Bruyne crossed for Vincent Kompany to score in the 49th-minute and then De Bruyne nearly scored when he was unfortunate to hit the crossbar with a free kick. With his next chance, however, De Bruyne hit the target with a shot from the edge of the area to make it 3-0 to City. Raheem Sterling made it 4-0, and in the final minute De Bruyne set up Nicolas Otamendi for the fifth.
Kevin was excellent today. He was unlucky to hit the bar. I think that's the tenth time it's happened this season.
Pep Guardiola, Manchester City manager.
Is Kevin king of the assists?
Kevin De Bruyne got two more assists to his name in the win over Crystal Palace. He set up the second goal for Vincent Kompany and crossed for Nicolas Otamendi to head home the fifth. De Bruyne now has fifteen assists this season, more than any other player in the Premier League. It is also the most assists, in one season, for any Manchester City player in the history of the Premier League. The only other players to be in double figures for assists this season are Christian Eriksen (12) at Tottenham and Gylfi Sigurdsson (12) at Swansea City.
Big win! Enjoy your weekend! pic.twitter.com/6MRV6IDfC2

Who is Kevin De Bruyne?
Kevin De Bruyne was born in June 1991, in Drongen, a small town in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. He speaks Dutch, French and English fluenty! His mother was born in Burundi and spent her childhood growing up in London, so De Bruyne could have played international football for England or Burundi, but he chose Belgium and considers himself to be 100% Belgian. De Bruyne has over 30 caps for Belgium and played in the 2014 World Cup, he is a key member of the Belgian team for this summer's European Championships in France. De Bruyne started his professional career with Genk and won the Belgian League and Cup. In 2012, De Bruyne signed for Chelsea but was sent on loan to Werder Bremen in Germany and only made 3 appearances for the London club. He made a permanent move to Germany in 2014 when he went to Wolfsburg for £18 million. In June 2015, De Bruyne was named Footballer of the Year in Germany. In August 2015, he became Manchester City's record signing and the second most expensive signing in British transfer history, when City paid a reported £55 million for him.
"I had talks with PSG, but finally decided to join Manchester City, I saw them as a better option. I am very happy to have made that decision". Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City.
Who will Pep Guardiola keep next season?
The Manchester City, manager, Pep Guardiola, is one of the most successful managers in modern-day football, he won 14 major trophies as Barcelona manager and won 5 major trophies with Bayern Munich. This season will be a dissappointment for Guardiola as it will be his first season as a manager without winning a major trophy and probably the first time a Guardiola team will finish outside the top two in the league table. Guardiola is sure to continue to change the style of City's play and the club will be linked with players from all over Europe. Could we see some players from Barcelona or Bayern Munich arriving at City? What about Antoine Griezmann from Athletico Madrid? Will Yaya Toure still be at the club next season? Will Guardiola build a team around Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus? Whatever happens, this summer will be another summer of change at City!
Did you know...?
- Kevin De Bruyne has his own clothing label called 'KDB'. Part of the profits go to charities for people with disabilities.
- In 2014/15, De Bruyne made more assists than any other player in the top five European Leagues.
- His football hero as a child was Liverpool's Michael Owen.
- As a child he often spent holidays in London.

My opinions
• Kevin De Bruyne hometown Drongen is close to U.K. It's not coincidence that he is playing in the Premier League. He is one of best players of the Premier League.
Riddle
• What is “Foggy match”? Fans throw away finished light torches to the pitch causing fog and game is played difficultly-:)
Note
• I'm very happy to watch my team ex-player Christian Eriksen who suffered a heart illness and recovered very soon in the M.U.matches.That is passion of football-:)

I think that the creativity is very important for a football player. In the childhood the youth player must be free to express yourself.

Hi Pacosaez
I don't have any problems understanding your message. I think one useful collocation to learn which is used a lot in football is UNDER + manager. If you say under Guardiola or under Mourinho it describes a team or player while that manager was coaching the player or team, I would have written your sentence like this:
I think Manchester City will play their best football under Guardiola this season.
Hope that is useful.

1. De Bruyne in my opinion is more strenghful than creative as an ahead mildfielder. Although we use to say creative for this type of position KDB is more athletic and huge than creative in his style.
2. Difficult to name his coaching a success when we talk about Gardiola who was always on the top in great leagues. But perhaps he is on his way through achieving building a great team.
3 Undoubtably City has capacity to enhance its squad but I cannot say who will be chosen by the manager and the executive board.

I don't see that Pep Guardiola's first season at Etihsd Stadium has been a success. All people look to him as a great manager, and he already won so many trophies. But I think that the EPL is a big test for any manager or a footballer. And if you are a great manager, of course you will prove that you can succeed everyehere. However he needs time to adapt to the EPL and bring a couple of good defenders. I think that he shoudn't have forced Joe Hart to be loaned, instead he should given him the chance. I don't know if he feels sorry about that, because we have seen that how the Citizens had a trrible problems with the goal. Adaptation is important, the same thing happened to Gary Neville and found it difficult while managing Valencia.

I don't see that Pep Guardiola's first season at Etihsd Stadium has been a success.
All people look toEveryone sees him as a great manager, and he has already won so many trophies. But I think that the EPL is a big test for any manager or a footballer. And if you are a great manager, of course youwillneed to/must prove that you can succeed everyehere. However he needs time to adapt to the EPL and bring in a couple of good defenders. I think that he shoudn't have forced Joe Hart to be loaned, instead he should have given him a chance. I don't know if he feels sorry about that, because we have seen that how the Citizens have had a trrible problems with the goal. Adaptation is important, the same thing happened to Gary Nevilleandwho found it difficult while managing Valencia.Hope that helps!
