Hi Jack- I read your correspondence with Gilber51 and I agree on the some way with you and the other side with him. I don't tired yet of the competition and want to continue. But I have a problem, I can't earn points on the lot of topics here. I'm not going to retire from the competition and I want to defence my title (I think that's default option in all competition- title defending). Maybe that can increase excitement of the competition. I wish a lot of luck to all the competitors and let the best man win ;) Cheers!

Hi Rema
You know, I hadn't expected people to want to do the lessons again, but I can see how you might want to defend (this is the verb, 'defence' is the noun) your title. I'll talk to the developers and see if there is anything we can do. - Thanks, Jack.

Thanks for everything Jack. Please correct me, if I write something incorrect like in the last comment. I would like to see new content every day and within this new content to earn new points for me. But I think that this is not possible, because you need to spend a lot of your time for that and because of this circumstances I was say that I want to do lessons again(that's could be boring, but I'm here primarily to learn English using one of my favorites things in life(football) and maybe repeating lessons could be good way for improving). I would love to compete this year and I would love to defend my title, but if you have a lot of technical issues with that I would recommend that you don't have to do that.

I made one mistake - in this sentence:
City made it into the final eight. There fans were looking forward to the _____ against United.
I get " final", no "quarter-final".
I don't understand, why "quarter-final" is right?

Hi chriswar, Yes, this sentence is quite difficult to understand. The phrase 'made it into' means 'to qualify' so in this example City have just won a match in the cup, which means they have qualified for the 'final eight'. The 'final eight' is when there are only 8 teams left in a cup competition. When there are 8 teams, these games are called 'quarter-finals', four teams = semi-finals and two teams is the final. Hope that helps! Rich - The Premier Skills English Team
