Džeko scores twice to keep the pressure on Chelsea!
Premier League Champions Manchester City kept the pressure on Chelsea at the top of the table, with a 4-2 win away to Hull City. Edin Džeko was the star of the game with a fantastic double. Everything was looking good for the Champions, when, after only 11 minutes they were winning 2-0, with goals from Sergio Agüero and Džeko. It was a fantastic strike by Džeko, who scored with a right-footed shot from outside the box.
But, Hull City came back into the game, and it was 2-2 at half-time, after an own goal by City defender, Eliaquim Mangala, and a penalty from Hull striker, Abel Hernández, who was fouled by Mangala. In the second half, Džeko got his second and Frank Lampard stopped another Hull City fightback with a late goal. City fans will be happy to see Džeko scoring his first Premier League goals of the season and hope that he can beat the 16 goals he scored last season.

What do we know about Edin Džeko?
Džeko was born in March 1986 in Sarajevo, which was then Yugoslavia, but is now the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Džeko started his career in his home country with Željezničar, but soon moved to the Czech Republic when he signed for Teplice. After 2 seasons with Teplice, he moved to Germany to play for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.
He had 4 successful seasons in Germany and helped Wolfsburg to their first ever league title in 2008/09 and in 2009/10 he finished top scorer in the German league.In total, Džeko scored 85 goals in 142 appearances for Wolfsburg and became their highest ever goal scorer.

What has Džeko achieved in England?
Džeko moved to the UK in January 2010, when he signed for Manchester City for about £27 million. Since arriving at City, Džeko has won the FA Cup, Community Shield, League Cup and 2 Premier League titles. One highlight includes his 92nd minute equaliser in the 3-2 win against QPR that won City the Premier League title on the final day of the 2011/12 season. Another highlight was becoming the first City player to score 4 goals in a Premier League match (1-5 v Spurs).
Also, in 2013/14, Džeko scored at Old Trafford after only 43 seconds, this is the fastest away goal against Manchester United in Premier League history. So far, Džeko has scored 70 goals in 161 games for City and has recently signed a four-year contract, so we will see many more goals from Džeko in City colours!

Does Džeko play for his national team?
Džeko is known as 'The Bosnian Diamond' in his native country and is a superstar there. He has been named Bosnian player of the year 3 times, he's his country's all-time top scorer (37 goals) and scored 10 goals to help Bosnia qualify for their first ever World Cup. At Brazil 2014, he scored Bosnia's first goal in their first ever World Cup victory (3-1 against Iran), but it was not enough to progress out of the group after defeats against Argentina and Nigeria.

How was Džeko's childhood?
Džeko had a terrible childhood. His home in Sarajevo was destroyed and hundreds of thousands of people were killed during the Bosnian War. One day, Džeko's mother, Belma, called Džeko inside and seconds later a bomb hit the ground where he had been playing football. Today, Džeko uses his superstar status to talk to children in both Bosnia and Manchester about his origins. He talks about opportunity and against conflict. He has become Bosnia and Herzegovina's first UNICEF ambassador.

The phrase "Super-sub" reminded me a footballer who used to be called "watchplayer" here. Literally, it describes a player that always isn't in the starting line-up. When team needs equalizing goal or winning goal he was called for duty from bench:-) Luck of him and generally he was scoring.
Note
There weren't "Bosnian War". It was definitely genocide that was committed against Bosnians even in front of world's eyes.

They performed as one of the bests, certainlly.
Many brazilian players are used to start and engage social programs. Most of them prefer to keep their actions "undercovered", just for the pleasure of being capable to help children and adults in poverty.

Unfortunately, Aguero gets too many injuries this season, but Man City can afford it by bringing in new star players. I've heard they received another $250 mln of financing from China. I am wondering whether the 'financial fair play' rule works.

I think Robin VanPersie and Falcao will be even better than Dzeko and Aguero when they click together.
They have a good chance of winning the league back to back, but it's surely too early to call. Chelsea are definitely contenders for the title.
We need charity but not many footballers in Greece engage in such acts. Lomana Tresor Lua Lua played for a couple of years in Greece and he did do some charity.
