Hi, I’m John Dykes. Welcome to the Premier League’s video guide to Chelsea Football Club. Here we’ll take you behind the scenes at the Stamford Bridge, we’ll give you an insight into the match-day experience, as well as other things to see and do in and around the club.
Based in the heart of west London, stands Stamford Bridge the home of Chelsea football club. The stadium is surrounded by the thriving cafes, restaurants and boutiques of the King’s Road. Any visitor to London will tell you Chelsea really does have a lot to offer and makes for a great day out.
Excellent transport links to and from the stadium make travelling around quick and easy, with the nearest London Underground stops of Fulham Broadway and West Brompton just minutes walk away.
The Blues as they are affectionately known were founded in 1905 and have spent most of their history in the top-tier of English football. The past decade has been the most successful period in the club’s history and has seen them win three Premier League titles in six years, including most recently, the club’s first Premier League and FA cup double.
The takeover by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich in 2003 has contributed to the club’s status as one of the dominant forces in world football. The high standards and quality of Chelsea extend to their training ground facilities in nearby Surrey, where these world class players have state-of-the-art facilities at their disposal.
Blue is definitely the colour as you enter the Chelsea Megastore so why not express your support for the club with a purchase of anything from team shirts to teddy bears. There’s always excitement and passion in the air on a Chelsea match-day as a sea of blue descends on Stamford Bridge and over 41,000 fans pack into the stadium... and they are just waiting for you to add to their number.

The video seems really engaging and informative, offering a great behind-the-scenes look at Chelsea Football Club.
I haven’t been to London personally, but if I had the chance, visiting Stamford Bridge would be an exciting experience. The best part would probably be the atmosphere. A packed stadium with over 41,000 passionate fans sounds electric! Also, seeing world-class players in action at their home ground, surrounded by such a sea of blue, would definitely add to the excitement.

this video was very nice and give us some informations about chelsea's word. I've been in London when i went to the high school for my school's travel but unfortunately i didn't visit Stamford Bridge becouse my teachers didn't want. i think that the best thing when you enter in the stadium is the atmosphere you can breath and the possibility to see the match much closer than other foreign stadiums

I never been to the Stamford Bridge, but i would rather go to new stadium of the spurs if i have a chance to travel London again. The squads of the Chelsea is too weak so i can hardly remember the name of the player. I'm not anti-fan of them, but they need get a superstar like Drogba & Lampard& Terry...

I'm a Chelsea fan, but i could only support my team if i watch the fixtures via TV. I've never been to London but one day, i'd like to travel to London and spend a few days there with my friend. I think if a fan or maybe some neutral people visit the Stamford Bridge it wil be a worth seeing: you can feel the atmosphere before, during and after the match and meet with the fans who are different but they also have one aim - support the team. The best thing about a Chelsea match can be when you chant the Chelsea anthem together and see a stunning match.
