Fantasy Football - Gameweek 8

Rich: Rich here. How’s your fantasy football team doing? I had an awful week and the Premier Skills team had a terrible week, too! Jack’s very happy though. He had his best week of the season so far. Isn’t that right, Jack?

Jack: Yes, I’m feeling very pleased and am happy to welcome everyone to this week’s  fantasy football discussion points. Every week, Rich and I are here to talk about the Premier Skills Fantasy Football team and the players we should be buying and selling for the team.

Rich: So, we should start with your team, Jack. 51 points! How did you do it?

Jack: Well, I think the most important thing was my choice of captain. I went for Romelu Lukaku and he got me 16 points.

Rich: That was a great idea. It’s often important to choose a captain that can score lots of points but is different to who lots of other teams choose.

Jack: Exactly. You went with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and he only scored 2 points last week and we went with Sergio Aguero for the Premier Skills team and he only got 4 points!

Rich: That’s our top tip for this week. If you are trying to climb the league table it is worth taking a few risks. Lots and lots of teams had Aguero or Zlatan as captain last week. So, Jack took a risk with Lukaku and it got him more points than many other teams.

Jack: But it wasn’t just my captain. I also had Laurent Koscielny in my team and he got a clean sheet, a goal and maximum bonus points for Arsenal! He got 15 points!

Rich: I saw! A great player to have in your team last week. So that’s 31 points from just 2 players!

Jack: I’m still near the bottom of the Premier Skills league but I’m hoping this is the start of a good run!

Rich: Maybe you should get Morgan Schneiderlin out of your team. He hasn’t played for Man Utd all season!!

Jack: Good point! We’ve got a new leader in the Premier Skills League, he’s from Mexico and he is called Gerardo Lopez Lozada. His team is called Los 11 impostores which I believe is the 11 imposters in English.

Rich: Well done Gerardo. Last week his team scored 60 points and he leads the way on 403 points in total!

Jack: So, what do we want our listeners do with the Premier Skills team this week?

Rich: There is no Premier League football this weekend which means we have 10 days to think about the teams.

Jack: I think we should think about our defence again. We have a little bit of money in the bank and a few of our defenders are not playing.

Rich: I think it’s a good idea. We could sell all of them and buy a new defence? I’ve put a vote at the bottom of the page. We can sell one defender or all 5. It’s up to you. Then select the players that you think we should buy to replace them.

Jack: We will buy the players with most players from you and we will sell the players if they have more sell votes than buy!

Rich: But remember, every transfer apart from the first will cost the team four points!
