Lesson 2: Player Interviews: Films
Find out what kinds of films Premier League players enjoy. Do they like the same films as you? Watch the video with four Premier League players from the past and present and tell us the type of films that you like!

Activity 1: The players talked about the different sorts of film they like. In this first activity, you have to match the players with what they said about films.

In the next few lessons, we are going to speak about the passive a little more. This activity will help you start thinking about this area of grammar before we look at it in more detail.
Activity 2: When we speak about films in English, we often use the passive voice. In this activity, you have to rearrange the sentences about a famous film. Do you know what film the sentences are about?

I really enjoy watching Thrillers. They make me feel I'm alive because I spend my time trying to figure out how the story will end. I usually watch films at home to relax. It's a pity I have to watch them on my own because no one in my family likes my type of favourite films.

My genre preference changes depending on the day, sometimes I enjoy sci-fi, other times I'd rather watch romance. Horror movies are not really my cup of tea though, I dislike being scared.

I like the documentaries, but I love to watch different kinds of movies because I appreciate the job of all the crew behind the scenes and I really enjoy the FX, soundtrack, actors performances and artwork.
My favorite actors are Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett, Bryce Dallas Howard, Amy Adams, Tom Hardy, Joaquin Phoenix, Henry Cavill, Keanu Reaves and Tom Hanks.
I enjoy to go to the cinema but I hate when the people make noise or use their cell phones during the movie, this is why I prefer to buy them to watch them at home or use my Netflix, Prime video or HBO GO to enjoy in my way.
