Very good question. They are similar but not exactly the same. Full-backs play in the defensive positions on the right and left side of the pitch and have wingers in front of them to do the attacking. Full-backs help the wingers but their main purpose is to defend. Wing-backs have to work a lot harder than full-backs because they play as full-backs and wingers. This allows the team to play with more midfielders in the centre of the pitch. A team with wing backs often play with three central defenders.
This is all quite general but I hope it helps.

I was not so easy, especillay the players in the centre. In the past, I used to write 'centre' like this 'center'. I thought that the words finishing with 're' in French we need to write them in 'er' in English. Now, I know that 're' is British and 'er' is American.
