Task
Writing a Film Review
This is the lesson where you put everything together. We want you to write a review of a film. You will see two examples of film reviews which you can use to help you write your own review. When you’ve finished your review, post it in the comments section and read other participants reviews and tell them what you think. In lesson one we looked at film vocabulary, in lesson three we gave you some advice about using film to improve your English and gave two short reviews of films about football, in lesson four we focussed on the passive which is a common form to use when writing about films, and in lesson six we showed you some websites where you can read lots of film reviews. While you are writing your review, you can go back to these lessons for some help.
What should I include in my film review?
It's up to you! Here is a list of some common things that you see in film reviews. Have a look at the Bend It Like Beckham film review and match the five colours to the things in this list. Is there anything extra included in the review? Is there anything missing?
- The film's title.
- An eye-catching heading.
- The genre (type of film).
- The audience. Who is the film for?
- The director, main actors, when it was made, has it won any awards?
- The plot. A brief summary that doesn't mention the ending!
- Your opinion.
- Your evaluation.
Film Review 1
Bend it Like Beckham – Brilliant and Funny!
How can I describe Bend It Like Beckham? If I had to choose a genre, I would say it’s a romantic comedy-drama sports film!
The film was made in 2002 and directed by Gurinder Chandha who is well-known for films which explore the lives of Indians living in the UK.
The film is set in London and stars Jess (Parminder Naghra), who is an 18-year-old girl with Indian parents. One of the main storylines is the tension between Jess, who loves football, and her parents, who don’t allow her to play.Jess’s friend and teammate, Jules, who is played by Keira Knightly (Pirates of the Caribbean) encourages Jess to play despite her parent's wishes.
The film deals with serious social problems such as sexism and racism, but the film is very funny at the same time! The acting is very good and of course, there is a happy ending! Oh, and David Beckham is in the movie, but you must wait until the end for that!
I would give Bend It Like Beckham four and a half stars out of five and definitely recommend you watch it!
Now, look at the second film review. Is it a good review? What does it include? Is there anything missing?
Film Review 2
Fever Pitch – Funny, dramatic and a perfect finish!
I love football and I love films, so Fever Pitch was the perfect movie for me. It tells the story of a school teacher who is mad about his football club – Arsenal! The film was made in 1997 and is based on a best-selling book of the same name. The film has also been remade for American audiences based on baseball.
The main role is played by Colin Firth (Paul) one of the UK’s most famous actors. Paul falls in love with a new teacher (Sally) at his school during the 1989/90 football season, one of the most important seasons in Arsenal’s history. The plot follows the ups and downs of Paul’s romance with Sally and the fortunes of Paul’s football team. But who does he love more? Sally or Arsenal? You’ll have to watch the film to find out!
There are strong performances by Colin Firth and Ruth Gemmell (Sally) in this romantic comedy-drama. If you are a football fan you will love this film, but it definitely has a wider appeal, too! I will give it five-stars and not just because I’m an Arsenal fan!
Task

Deadpool 2 (action-fantastic-comedy)
"A small but interesting opinion"
For starters, I would recommend the movie to people who like comedy since the main character "Deadpool" played by Ryan Reynolds draws a smile almost with anything that says, somehow, gives his charm to the movie. I do not consider it a suitable film for children under 16 since it uses fairly vulgar language, rough and not so educational.
The director of the film David Leitch is, coordinator of scenes of risk, director of second unit, specialist of cinema, producer and American actor. Among the main actors in the film are "Ryan Reynolds" playing "Deadpool," "Zazie Beetz" as "Domino", "Josh Brolin" as "Cable" among others, the film premiered on May 15, 2018 with more than 733.1 million USD in earnings, "Ryan Reynolds" won an MTV Movie Awards for Best Comedy Performance, the movie "Deadpool" won a Teen Choice Awards for the Film of Choice: Action, among his awards won are the Film Critic Awards as chosen Film: Best Comedy Film and "Ryan Reynolds" winning as the chosen Film: Best actor in a comedy.
"Cable" came from the future to avoid the greatest tragedy in his life, so he wanted to kill the culprit of what will happen, before it happens. But in the middle of his way he meets the comic "Deadpool" with which he confronts him thus preventing "Cable" from fulfilling the purpose of his trip. Then an alliance between these two characters happens, in order to beat an unexpected and very strong character, who will it be?
I think it's an exciting movie, very funny, very good actors, good story and denouement, with a very good and entertaining soundtrack, what seems to me most highlighted in the film, is the comedy, because that is what makes it more Entertaining and fun, with its slightly vulgar language is created and transmitted that charm generated by the comic "superhero" Deadpool. I give it a rating of 4 and a half stars out of 5, I thought it was a great movie. Thanks for your attention.

Spirit
Spirit is a film of an indomitable horse and its crossing that when captured by a few tamers makes it possible to get rid of and not be tamed, until an Indian arrives who seemed not very friendly but with whom over the days he empathized until he could rid of the bad guys. Mischief, suffering, love, rebellion and other emotions that together with spirit: the indomitable steed we have
This movie is one of my favorites because I've seen it since I was little. It is Directed by Kelly Asbury and Lorna Cook, with the voices of great actors like Matt Damon and James Cromwell; I give it 5 stars for its entertainment and despite being a movie that several years ago came out has some very good graphics and the soundtrack is very good, the lyrics of the songs still make me cry, in order I recommend it 100%

MAZE RUNNER:
Maze runner is a very good movie but it lacks a lot to be like the books where things happen in the film, it seems that dylan o'brien did a good job with his role as he played his character very well, WillPoulter with its striking and indesifrases eyebrows showed a hatred towards Thomas who is the protagonist of this film because he was special he saw things that others do not.In this film shows how the world ended in a desert thanks to a solar flare which produced a disease. In the labelmritos where experiments were made where they are Thomas, Newt, Gally, Minho, Teresa, Sarten and Alby where they lived.

AMELIE (2001)
Jean-Pierre Jeunet's "Amelie" is a delicious pastry of a movie, a lighthearted fantasy in which a winsome heroine overcomes a sad childhood and grows up to bring cheer to the needful and joy to herself. You see it, and later when you think about it, you smile. Audrey Tautou, a fresh-faced waif who looks like she knows a secret and can't keep it, plays the title role, as a little girl who grows up starving for affection. Her father, a doctor, gives her no hugs or kisses and touches her only during checkups--which makes her heart beat so fast he thinks she is sickly. Her mother dies as the result of a successful suicide leap off the towers of Notre Dame, a statement which reveals less of the plot than you think it does.

The book Thief
Narrated by the angel of death
At that time, when the Nazis invaded Germany, 2 little brothers were given up for adoption, one of them dies, and only Liesel remains, who did not know how to read or write, that is why he suffered many ridicule at his school, it was his father; who night after night helped her in her apprenticeship, she had a friend named Rudy with whom she made careers from school to her home. Her mother, who was a very rough lady, had to face a difficult situation that made her start being a more tender and loving person, because her husband was called to the civilian troops to fight, some time later a young Jewish man arrived who sheltered in his house from the danger that they would find him, from the cold and death. little expected but with great surprises a film inspired by the family, in the second world war and a time full of much suffering, without criticism for me

Matrix(199)
A cyber sci-fi blowout of wetware-boggling visual effects and advanced comic book storytelling, Warner Bros.' The Matrix will open mightily and have a wide-open month to become early 1999's biggest hit.Word-of-mouth will be giddy, with young and mature males lining up for a technologically stunning movie that furthers the genre and features crowd-pleasing performances to go with the frequent scenes of gunplay and violence. Kudos to the writing and directing team of Larry and Andy Wachowski — who debuted impressively with the small-scale, tightly wound Bound — for fashioning a brain-twisting, eye-popping thriller that recalls The Terminator, Total Recall and Stanislaw Lem's great novel The Futurological Congress. The lead character played by Keanu Reeves discovers that everyday reality is a computer-created illusion and that future humans are locked in an epic struggle with intelligent machines. Opening with an explosive sequence in which a leather-clad woman named Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) with amazing leaping and fighting abilities is chased by cops and scary men in suits, Matrix is an adrenaline rush from the start and pushes the envelope in stylish, inspired action sequences. But the characters are not forgotten or secondary, and many of the best moments belong to the actors. A loner with a cyber-identity, Neo (Reeves) lives in a metropolis of the near future and through Trinity he's warned that "they" are after him. "They" are the men in suits, led by Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving), who nab defiant but naive Neo at his work and insert a metallic bug in him, hoping he will lead them to the mysterious Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne). But Morpheus and his comrades get to him swiftly, remove the bug and offer Neo the chance to join them, though by the nature of the situation he doesn't know what awaits him. Speaking cryptically about the "truth," Morpheus says he must choose to take a journey like Lewis Carroll's Alice, one with irreversible consequences to his understanding of reality. So Neo takes the plunge and the movie takes a big leap conceptually when it's revealed that the story is actually taking place hundreds of years from now when humans have lost a globally catastrophic war against machines created by artificial intelligence programs run amok. Vat-bound humans are bred by the machines to provide power, with each "battery" hooked up to the Matrix, a virtual construct that resembles Earth as we more or less know it.Morpheus, Trinity and Cypher (Joe Pantoliano) are rebels who have unplugged themselves from the Matrix and sought out Neo because "he's the one" prophesied by the "oracle." Neo might just be able to defeat the machines. Absorbing when it isn't going a little overboard — like it does during a John Woo-like gun battle in a lobby — Matrix has several super kung fu sequences, including use of Hong Kong-style wirestunt work and what the Wachowskis have dubbed "bullet-time photography" or "Flow-Mo," an awesome physics-defying effect inspired by Japanese anime. Reeves is good as the somewhat fragile but adaptable hero. Fishburne is savvy casting as Neo's guide and protector, and Moss and Pantoliano also are impressive. But the big scene stealer is Weaving as the relentless opponent and embodiment of the Matrix's creators. His deadpan delivery and ultra-serious demeanor is chipped away with growing frustration, and the Australian contributes much of the film's nervous humor.

Rocky Balboa (2006)
Rocky Balboa is an American dramatic film, this film is written, starred and directed by the talented actor Sylvester Stallone.
This is the sixth installment of the Rocky saga, where Rocky Balboa has long been retired from the fights in the Ring has returned to his old city Philadelphia where he owns a famous restaurant, while in the world of professional boxing the champion Mason Dixon he is not so loved by the fans of this sport because of his light and boring fights. Dixon is aware that there is no boxer that will fit him at least one round and to get the public's fans will need new challenges. The sports media simulated a computer fight between Rocky Balboa and Mason Dixon which Dixon wins by KO, Dixon does not pay much attention to this but it does call a lot of attention from the fans, this makes his representative Lucky talk to Balboa for a fight with Dixonlo which Rocky accepts the challenge to prove to himself that he can fight again for what he asks for the license to box, which was rejected first, but soon after it was accepted, Rocky also talks with his son Robert, who he resigns from his job and is reconciled with his father, to accompany him during his training and final combat.
Rocky travels to Las Vegas with his old friend Paulie, his coach Tony Evans, his son Robert and the son of a girl he met in Philadelphia, where they were going to pre-inscribe one of boxing's best fights.
The movie is very good I think it's one of the best that Sylvester Stallone has done for his great performance and the great story that takes place in the movie,
It is also a movie that has anyone who likes sports would call attention because it brings motivating messages for life. One of them is when Rocky tells his son "the world is not sun and pink clouds, it is a world bad and wild and it does not matter how rough you are, you will be on your knees and if you leave it neither you nor I will beat as hard as life but no matter how hard you do it matters how hard you resist and keep moving forward.

A SILENT VOICE (2018)
The effects of bullying at an early age and all the responsibility that comes with recanting when karma returns are one of the things that Shouko Nishimiya and Shoya Ishida will live with their friends. The main characters will embark on a journey to reconciliation with themselves and the people around them, who despite the years, have been affected by their actions.
This third film by the young and successful director Naoko Yamada, runs literally the story of the homonymous manga "Koe No Katachi" by Yoshitoki Oima. The animation was in charge of Kyoto Animation and the soundtrack was performed by Kensuke Oshio and his team, although the movie has great eloquence with the song "My generation" of The Who.
This film with 2 hours and 10 minutes duration, is a drama made in a school environment and clearly shows the results of the bullying at an early age that Shouko Nishimiya (played with the voice of Saori Hayumi) suffered in his first years of school life. part of his classmates for having a hearing disability.
The movie manages to move fibers, because apart from looking to entertain, wants to make the audience aware of their actions and words, and so it may not seem, these two factors have great impact on the lives of others. Naoko Yamada (director) explained that the intention of this film was to show young people the concern of society for the stereotypes imposed by a "perfect" person
The animation is magnificent but somehow the biggest drawback is the rate of succession of the events, since it exceeds the slowness and sometimes results in the scenes, its 130 minutes could decrease without damaging the plot of the story
It was released in Japan on September 17, 2016 but it premiered in Hispanic America on March 16 of this year, as a proposal for a solution to suicide.

Overboard (comedy and drama).
Premiere: 2018
It is not a classic love story. directed by Rob Greenbery, starred by Eugenio Derbez and Eva Longoria. tells the story of love out of the known parameters.
A millionaire and capricious man is tricked into living an old story due to the loss of menoria, and a mother and hardworking woman is forced to create a role for herself and her family.
this makes the film very interesting, fun and unique in the tastes of comedy and drama.
not many manage to capture the essence of these two types of films but it certainly does. with a few months of premiere achievement to unleash on the big screen and in the hearts of many fans to this type of movie.

brave (2012)
I love everything related to disney and pixar productions, but brave is my favorite movie, since the movies of the classic Disney princesses always include romance and musicals and if we see in this film they are totally absent. This is not a bad point at all, I just wanted to emphasize that Disney has us accustomed to expect this kind of thing when we see princesses. The reason why I like it so much is because it deals a lot with the theme of family and union together with love that among them there must be, besides that it is a completely different story to all that we already knew about disney, showing the rebelliousness and free spirit of the protagonist that is the merida princess.
I completely recommend this movie, I think it's one of the best productions along with many others that you could see as a family, it's wonderful.

Split is a thriller and psychological horror movie, in which you play with your mind in different ways. It premiered in 2017, starring James McAvoy as Dennis one of his 23 personalities playing the villain, Haley Lu Richardson as Claire, Jessica Sula as Marcia and Anya Taylor-Joy as casey, in the role of the survivors.
This nominated film is unfolding when the protagonist kidnaps three girls and locks them in a cellar; This becomes interesting when you approach girls with different personalities each day and personality 24 begins to form, called the beast. What will happen if it reaches the beast?
It is a totally different and different film for the public, as it confuses and excites the viewer, throughout the film. I recommend this film 100% since it makes you feel inside of it, sweat of the emotion and feel a great limit of desperation

Hamburger rain
Sony Pictures Animation after Open Season: Amigos Salvajes released in 2006 and Crazy for Surf the following year, brings to Colombia from Friday its third animated film entitled Hamburger Rain that will arrive in both digital and third format dimension. The film is based on an old children's book of the same name written by Ron and Judi Barrett in 1978. The adaptation and film direction of this work is in charge of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller for whom this film is his first film.
The careful animation of this film, taken care of in the smallest details and with a very good 3-D had several referents to give body and life to the characters that are part of this "appetizing" story, among them are the Muppets. LLuvia de Hamburguesas tells the story of an inventor who from a very young age dedicated himself to making the most incredible inventions, but his essays were not always successful and had the approval of the town where he lived. In fact, he managed to get the majority to disapprove of his strange inventions. But with the desire to make the inhabitants of the region happy, years later he conceives a machine capable of turning water into comedy and once he achieves it, nothing will be the same for him, his family and the villagers.
The original story created more than thirty years ago, has strong timeless ingredients to touch the issue of greed, something that has mortified the man since the beginning of its existence and could not be more effective because it is one of the seven deadly sins that dominate the world today in many areas and that of course is not alien to the smallest, who because of the ease of access to (des) information, the absence of parents who are forced to work, the excess of video games, of television, they make that from an early age and without even knowing it they become victims of this hateful thought.

what you want can be
all my american, is a real story in which you look at passion desire for something as wonderful as a sport is in three words, the film is defined as Biographical, Drama, Sport.
the film was made in 2015 directed by Angelo Pizzo adapted from the book Corage Beyond The Game: The Freddie Steinmark Story, by Jim Dent which is a history of legends for the Texas football team
everything sometimes we admire the deportees for what they achieve by the effort they make and how not to name Freddie Steinmark, who in the film is
starring Peter Wittrock, Jr. (Theater World Award 2012)
we as human beings and as part of a society we want to be someone in life through education
in the case of our Freddie, he liked sports a lot
he took great care in the field, no matter how small he was and even though he did not have the resources he entered the University of Texas thanks to his trainer
I recommend it and they have to see it know everything Freddie has to do to play the sport he loves.

genre: terror
The audience for this movie is for over 12 years......Directed by David F. Sandberg and written by Gary Dauberman Stephanie Sigman as Sister Charlotte Talitha Bateman as Janice/Annabelle Higgins Tree O'Toole as an adult Janice/Annabelle Higgins Lulu Wilson as Linda Anthony LaPaglia as Samuel Mullins
Miranda Otto as Esther Mullins Alicia Vela-Bailey as the diabolical Esther Mullins
The story tells the origin of Annabelle at the hands of a doll manufacturer, who receives at home a nun (interpreted by Mexican Stephanie Sigman) and several girls from an orphanage, to try to cover the gap that left the death of his own daughter. However, laughter turns into cries when the demon that lives inside the doll is released
My opinion is that it is an excellent movie to hang out and give a good scare, there are very scary scenes, there are also fun scenes that

Running or dying
I liked several things in The Maze Runner (by the way, it's called "Running or dying" in Latin America, the most generic film title I've seen in a long time), including the performances, the characters and their technical quality, but at the same time I could not help but feel that it could have been better. Everything is the fault of the end; Yes, to say that that dull final is just "disappointing" is too kind.
The film tells the story of Thomas (Dylan O'Brien), a teenager who awakens in a dark and rusty elevator, to eventually ascend into an open field surrounded by impossibly giant walls. Confused and without remembering his name or any other detail about himself, he meets a group of children who explain where he is: he is in the "Claro", and like him, none of his colleagues knows why they were sent there.
All they know is that behind the walls is the Labyrinth, and that every thirty days someone new is delivered by the elevator. The boys have managed to put together a small peaceful society, led by Alby (Aml Almeen), who is the one who has been there the longest: three years. His second in command are Newt (Thomas Brodie-Sangster, whom we have seen in the series of "Game of Thrones"), and the violent Gally (Will Pouter, who will remember the third film of "The Chronicles of Narnia") . But as you can guess, Thomas is "different"; he immediately feels the need to leave the Claro and become a Corridor, one of the guys who is dedicated to exploring the Labyrinth and trying to find a way out. Everything changes not only with the arrival of Thomas, but also when the elevator brings Teresa (Kayla Scodelario), the first girl to arrive at Claro.
The first half of the film is curious; is devoted almost exclusively to expose all the rules and details of the world of The Maze Runner, introducing characters and conflicts everywhere. It is a curiously dense section full of dialogues, especially considering that most of these adaptations of novels for young people are focused on action and fantasy. It was not something that bothered me too much; On the contrary, it is refreshing to find a film of this subgenre that takes the trouble and time to explain well the world that presents us, and to develop tension and a good atmosphere without the need to introduce explosions or exaggeratedly fantastic elements. Unlike other films of the same style, The Maze Runner (at least during its first half) is surprisingly subtle, containing few special effects and rather presenting us with a relatively plausible and obscure situation.
On the other hand, unlike other recent adaptations such as "The Hunger Games" or "Divergent", I found it interesting that The Maze Runner is starred almost exclusively by guys. I'm not saying that this is better or worse than having a female protagonist; I just mention it because that differentiates it from the aforementioned films, and introduces an interesting and purely masculine dynamic between the characters. In fact, the only female character is the weakest; Teresa is not very well developed, and although the performance of Kayla Scoledario is adequate, her American accent does not quite convince (the girl is British).
The rest of the performances are quite remarkable. Like Thomas, Dylan O'Brien starts a little stiff, but little by little he releases more, turning his character into an interesting protagonist, despite falling into the cliché of being "different" or "unique". It just needed to be called "The Chosen One". The Newt by Thomas Brodie-Sangster is one of the nicest characters and with which it is easier to relate; It is not too dark and shows intelligence and good judgment. (Unlike Scodelario, Brodie-Sangster was allowed to keep his British accent). Like Gally, Will Pouter is sufficiently odious (it is worth mentioning that his American accent is impeccable - well, another British actor!), And Patricia Clarkson's cameo (in a role I will not mention so as not to spoil the film's biggest surprise) it gives something of class to the production (in spite of appearing during its weakest scenes).
Visually the film is quite impressive, which should not be surprising considering that the director, Wes Ball, is primarily a special effects director. The labyrinth is sufficiently realistic and impressive, and the digital effects used to create the creatures that our protagonists find inside it are effective. The Maze Runner does not focus much on action scenes or great visual effects for most of its duration, but when these begin to appear more frequently during the last third of the film, they do not disappoint. On the other hand, the sound design is very good, especially when Ball tries to keep us in suspense inside the elevator at the beginning of the movie or inside the Labyrinth.

The superheroes of Marvel
It is an action film of 2012, written and directed by Joss Whedon. It was produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, and based on the comic book by Marvel Comics. It is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which links several Marvel superhero films such as Iron Man (2008), Hulk (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010),Thor(2011) and Captain America: the first avenger (2011).
In addition to the destruction, we see the creativity put in when designing the invading creatures. The special effects are integrated perfectly and the motion capture was a success for Hulk. An unfogerttable experience in movie theaters to applaud, laugh and feel like a child. Now that's super.

LA LA LAND- The city of stars
It is a beautiful American dramatic and musical film released in 2016, directed by Damien Chazelle, The film is developed in wonderful settings that play with the sky and its weather, its choreography are perfectly made with a wonderful soundtrack full of beautiful sounds and as a genre representative we have Jazz. starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, bringing to life the wonderful characters Mia and Sebastian, two characters with dreams and goals to fulfill. Mia is a young aspiring actress who works as a waitress and performs castings and Sebastian is a jazz pianist with some economic problems and who wants Jazz to come out of the shadows, these two characters fall in love and seek their happiness but their strong desire for Getting to the top means that they live problems that begin to separate them.
This movie is a wonderful sample of music and feelings within very deep roles, Mia and Sebastian love each other but after the passage of time what they had always sought begins to turn out but maybe not as they expected and their paths start to separate little by little, it only depends on them if they save their relationship or take each one their way where they express us the important thing of leaving the ambition or desire of fame if we will not be totally happy, these two characters live unforgettable stories in their ways and together or separated they will write their future.
The movie has won 40 awards that recognize it as a very good movie, the truth is this movie is for all audiences but especially for lovers of musicals and romance, to see this movie and feel the story as if I lived it is a Exploration of emotions I love how this film represents dedication and beauty, which could see millions of times, each piece of music fits perfectly with each scene and leaves us much to think about for real life.
I qualify La La Land with 5 stars and I hope that they are motivated to see and feel it, the end is wonderful and intriguing under a CITY OF STARS.

the purge, "The Night of Atonement" (2013)
The purge is a science fiction film, especially for anyone interested in criminology where many theories flood, directed and written by James DeMonaco and produced by PARANORMAL ACTIVITY AND INSIDIOUS, starring Ethan Hawke (James Sandin) and Lena Headey (Mary Sandin) are a couple with two children who are dedicated to the sale of security systems for the home being one of the best in the market and live thanks to the purge and fear that this generates.
The film, in spite of being fictional, has a great interesting argument because it makes us think if in some case it would be productive to accept a deviant social behavior in order to maintain economic-social stability. the movie shows us that having the opportunity that one day you could commit a crime without a legal process we would have an absolute Ciudaddian security, poverty would be null and crime would have a very small rate. Maybe the movie has a pretty interesting but sincerely argument that this program will achieve less poverty and crime because there would be many more conflicts, will not end crime or poverty for the simple fact that one day we can kill our "opponent", crime and poverty will always be there since a country will never be a victim.
I recommend you see this movie but the first one is much better

I recommend you see this movie but the first one is much better

Episode of Star wars 3 (2003)
Episode 3 of Star Wars is a science fiction film that focuses just after episode 2 of Star Wars, happens a few years after the war against the Geonosians in Geonosis. You must admit everything at the same time that we wanted to have a lightsaber that can cut anything or join the dark side like Anakin and betray them all. I saw this movie when I was a child, when I was 7 years old I was passing the channels of my television when I found it and I was fascinated with the plot of the film, I find thousands of feelings in a single scene, revenge, hate, love and distrust besides all the space ezens that were great at that moment! It was obvious that we could not expect less from George Lucas, the great director of these star wars franchises, the film was a great success to leave on the floor the sales of the other movies released at that time, I could say that he hates Padme, It is the main cause of Anakin being attached to the dark side, but hey, this does not take away the genius. It's a great movie for fans who like betrayal and science fiction.

The Imitation Game.
A great contribution to history.
Drama and suspense.
The kind of audience that is interested in history, in great events and about Alan Turing.
The director is Morten Tyldum; the main actors are Benedict Cumberbatch, keira knightley, Matthew Goode, Mark Strong, Charles Dance, Allen Leech, MAtthew Beard and Rury Kinnear; it was made in 2014; has won 8 awards, among which is: best adapted screenplay, best thriller, best movie of great premiere, the best director and movie of the year.
During the Second World War, the genius of logic and cryptographer, is dedicated to decode The Enigma Code used by Germany with a working group, achieved this is pursued by the British government accused by innmorality to be homosexual.
I think it's a great production full of important events, performed in an objective manner, with a very good handling of scenarios, costumes and dialogues ... especially that of its protagonist, I like how it plays with the times and the recreation of the period.
I give this film a five star rating: excellent.

The stand of kisses - The forbidden boy.
The Stand of the Kisses is a romantic comedy movie.
It was directed and written by Vince Marcello.
The story centers on Elle Evans, a high school student, who decides together with her best friend to place a stand of kisses at her school's Spring Carnival,
Elle Evans and Lee Flynn, are best friends since they were born. They have created a series of rules that can not be broken, one of the rules by Lee is: not falling in love with the older brother.
When they create the kissing stand, Elle unexpectedly gives her first kiss to Noah Flynn (Lee's older brother), and then initiates a romance between Noah and Elle, which is outside the bounds of the rules of his covenant of friendship with Lee. Elle has to make an important decision: follow the rules or her heart.
This movie is for a teenage audience, as it deals with several issues that we face today, plus we find the typical characters of the school, the nerds, the vain, the violent and others. Personally I think it's corny but fun and entertaining, I really liked it and I recommend it.

Lucy, "I'm everywhere" (2014)
lucy is an action film and sci-fi, especially for lovers of the human mind and their abilities, directed and written by Luc Besson and produced by EuropaCorp and Groupe TF1, this film is starring Scarlett Johansson, whose character is forced to exercise of "mule" for a Korean mafia that intends to introduce a powerful design drug into kilo bags that, when bursting inside your organism, provokes in it some physical as well as psychic abilities.
F 2014 at the Critics Choice Awards was Nominated for Best Actress - Action Scarlett Johansson for her performance in Lucy
The film, despite being fictitious, has an argument that aroused many doubts in me regarding the development of the human brain, what would happen if we developed more than 10% of the mind, which according to some scientists as humans have reached? well, the film gives us a prototype of what could happen when developing more than that percentage, also has a very realistic context in terms of the life of the protagonist before the drug is spread by your body, because like many real cases , there are many girls who voluntarily and involuntarily fall into the drug trafficking business and suffer lethal consequences.
Johansson's performance, intrigue and special effects are one of the many reasons why I recommend you watch Lucy.

The snake is one of the most represented figures in mythology and religions, throughout the world. In general, this animal symbolizes very different concepts, from creation to science, going through the most primitive evil or nature, depending on the culture, but all of them are interesting. Starting from the basis that you are interested in the ancestral cultures of history and how they organized or explained the consciousness and the subjective order of their surroundings: knowledge. This symbology and subjectivity is attractive and intriguing because it gives us a different vision or position in life, but also because it shows other forms of wisdom and interpretation, other ways of communicating. Especially if we look at the essence and the instincts, although without forgetting some progress that is still being studied, if its civilizations have not been forgotten and disappeared altogether.
The embrace of the snake is one of the most important films of the year (past and present) from various perspectives, from purely cinematographic to social or historical, and translates into a powerful argument against oblivion. The third feature film by Colombian Ciro Guerra tells the story of the shaman Karamakate (Nilbio Torres and Antonio Bolívar), an indigenous man who lives isolated in the Amazon rainforest after becoming the last survivor of his people, which takes place in 1909 and 1940, years in which he will meet two scientists called Theodor Koch-Grünberg (Jan Bijvoet) and Richard Evans Schultes (Brionne Davis), who are looking for a mysterious plant cultivated by his tribe, and known as the yakruna. Karamakate has been transformed into a chullachaqui (a body without memories or emotions) and both interactions will help him to rediscover himself.
Thus, The snake's embrace traces an imposing and gray path through the depths of the Amazon, along its river, skirting paths and key stories that show a unique place of nature and representative of half a continent, and therefore also full of reality historical, which deals with a variety of topics and does so in an exceptional way, with a background discourse that should generate questions and other outstanding thoughts in the viewer, at the same time suggesting reflections of an impressive aesthetic. A precise and complex work told with a simplicity and clarity so elementary that leaves, on occasion, any kind of resemblance or influence (depending on each film critic) in a simple curiosity, nothing alien to fascination, abstraction, beauty and understanding, in any case.
Having said that, I would like to recall some similarities that I have read throughout these months, since El embrazo de la serpiente went through the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, to get an idea, and add two more that I felt after seeing the film ( I felt, yes). The clearest are Apocalypse Now (and therefore Aguirre, the wrath of God), Fitzcarraldo or Apocalypto (although I did not see it), especially because of what the jungle and the river mean and provoke in the minds of whites; to which I would attach 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Enter the Void. Already put ... The earthly world and the abstract come together in the search for knowledge, the most global knowledge possible, between anacondas and cougars, between interests and abuse, between madness and assimilation, which transforms and transits through various themes and landscapes. In short, The embrace of the snake is a film lesson full of lucidity.
Knowledge is for all, and of all times.

Flipped.(2010)
I dream of a story like Flipped.
I think a person's first love is very important, since in almost all of them it turns out to be pure and innocent in many ways, and in addition to this I am fascinated by its unique development, which is why I flipped me captive.
This romantic comedy is adapted by Rob Reiner(2010) from the book Flipped written by Wendelin Van Draanen in 2003. Here is a romance told in two voices, that of Juli Becker (Madelin Carrol) and that of Bryce Loski (Callan Macrtuliffe).
Everything starts from their first meeting, when Bryce moves to the front of Juli's house, from the moment they cross looks Juli runs to him and Bryce flees from her.
After a time where Juli is obsessed with her neighbor and paints him as a gentleman, different situations make her fall into reality and realize the true essence of this; On the other hand Bryce after considering Juli as a dangerous and unpleasant girl, in the begin to bloom very confused feelings around her; But the real questioner is, will it be too late when Bryce realizes the true feelings he has towards Juli? Will these two end with a happy ending?
Including another subject of the film, in this one it can be evidenced as in many occasions a person is judged by his social class and not by his true way of being.
I totally recommend this movie, it's one of my favorites. Because of its fun and wonderful way.

TAU
The genre of this movie is horror and science fiction.
The film was released on June 29, 2018 and directed by Federico D'Alessandro and written by Jon Spaihts Scott Derrickson from a screenplay by Noga Landau.
Julia is a loner who earns money as a thief in crappy nightclubs. One night, she is abducted from her home and wakes up locked and gagged in a dark prison inside a house with two other people, each with an implant on the back of her neck. Julia as the "subject 3", is forced to endure a series of tortuous psychological sessions by a shadowy figure in a laboratory. One night, she steals a pair of scissors from the laboratory and destroys the laboratory in an attempt to escape, but she is stopped and the other two subjects are killed by a robot in the house, Aries, is run by an artificial intelligence, called Tau .
This movie catches you, you can feel the terror of the girl in the course of the movie but at the same time the friendship between her and TAU.
I would give the TAU four stars out of five. I recommend this movie, because I liked it a lot, the music makes us "enter the movie".

Lady Bird - Real and Relatable
I think the genre for this movie is comedy-drama. It is clearly aimed at teenagers who are having problems in high school, like me.
It was directed by Gretta Gerwig and it starred Saoirse Ronan, who did a really good job, it was also released on November the 3rd 2017 and it won two Golden Globes for best actress and best motion pictures.
It tells the story of a common teenager and her struggle with life and love.
In my opinion, I think it was a catching and really good movie, it presents the real environment we teens face and one of the many reactions we can have in a rebellious face. I will give it 5 stars because I think it was pretty accurate.

Lady Bird - Real and Relatable
I think the genre for this movie is comedy-drama. It is clearly aimed at teenagers who are having problems in high school, like me.

Doctor Strange-Huge and faultless
The genre of this movie is Action, Adventure and Fantasy
the film was shot on 26 October 2016 (colombia) and directed by Scott Derrickson and written by Jon Spaihts Scott Derrickson and
C. Robert Cargill
this marvel movie is rated PG-13,and tells the story of Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch)what is a brilliant neurosurgeon that goes to the road into the world of the mystic arts to heal his body and perhaps... his soul and mind.
the plot catches you, you feel the charisma and ,at the same time, the pain felt by the protagonist throughout the film, and where with this he will lose the meaning of reality and where he will have a before and after in his life
I would give Doctor Strange five stars out of five.definitely recommend you watch it.only for the visual work that the designers do, in the effects and the hard work in the movie,i recommend it.

Life Is Beautiful
Life is Beautiful is a film with a great positive message that presents a vision that Guido always had and transmitted to his son Giosa despite the situation that he lived during the Nazi era as well as the atrocities that were committed against the Jews and the holocausts. .
Despite the reality that was experienced during World War II, the film is presented as a drama or tragicomedy that shows that having a positive attitude and listening to those around us can totally change our way of thinking, seeing things and to face the problems This is what can be considered as something negative in what I like most about this film, that all that I need ahead is the happiness and innocence of his son and not to disturb her.
Guido lives in pre-fascist Italy and presents himself as a good person with a dream: owning his own book store. One day he meets Dora, a young teacher from the local school. Des-fortunately, the woman, who calls Princess, is engaged and, worst of all, her boyfriend is a fascist officer with whom Guido has another problem. However, Guido does not give up and seduces Dora.
Years later, Guido and Dora are married and have a son: Giosue. In addition, Guido is the owner of the book store he dreamed of so much But now Italian citizens have to accept order, something to which Guido is opposed, especially considering that he is a father. His determination becomes a matter of life and death when he and his son are sent to a concentration camp three months before the end of the war. For love, Dora deports herself in the same train.
In the end the film leaves an impressive message because even though the father dies, Giosue does not suffer at all from all the traumas that he had caused to be in the racist and degrading conditions in which the Germans had the Jews. Then the Americans come to help and in this way Giosue and Dora remain alive despite the fact that her husband has died at the hands of the Germans. The lesson for Giosue is priceless and they will never forget Giodo for his bravery and courage in the midst of those terrible circumstances.
In this film, above all, highlights the kindness, faith and hope (which is never lost), and the illusion and good humor with which the protagonist tries to rescue the aftermath, which could be caused by the Second World War, to his little son.
In this aspect Guido looks at life with optimism, as if every second were the last, and above all with tons of humor. At no time collapses before the war, and with it, makes this war was a game between his son and him. In this way, he makes his son live the terrible World War II, but he is alive and not marked by what was that massacre. I can say that this film is a cross between comedy and romanticism about the power of laughter to move the human heart.

High School Musical 1,2,3
The film is based on young high school students, Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) is the captain of his school's basketball team, called East High, while Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) is a shy student, interested in science and the maths. One day both meet at a New Year party, performing the song "Start of something new".
The following week Gabriella arrives at East High School in the same school in Troy. They meet again and realize something that unites them: the taste for music.
Little by little they begin to know each other until they reach the point of falling in love with one another, having to face their different tastes for things (sports, classes, etc.) in order to be together.
The film brings us, romance, fun, suspense, with some musicality at every moment. The acting is very good, with a happy ending, giving continuation to its two sequels.
I love this movie plus its two sequels, it's my favorite movie from childhood until now, so my inspiration came from basketball and dancing.

The main film of the year is this one. It ranks with world-famous films. The action of the film is set on … guess where. I think the film starts unusual. The plot is rather simple.
The main character is great. To my mind, the brillant acting of actors, who are starring in the film, is above all expectations. What impressed me most is not only acting but also the quality of the film.
To sum up, I can say that it is that kind of film that takes us to a special world. More than that, this is the film that you want to watch over and over again. Definitely, the film couldn’t be missed.

Crossing stories.
Crossing stories It is definitely a drama movie.
The film was made in 2011, Based on Maids and Ladies by Kathryn Stockett. Directed by tate taylor and produced by 1492 Pictures.
The film is starring Emma Stone, Viola Davis and Bryce Dallas Howard. This film won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress (Octavia Spencer), an award from the actors' syndicate for best cast, best actress and best supporting actress, a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress (Octavia Spencer) and a BAFTA Award to best supporting actress (Octavia Spencer).
"Skeeter" Phelan (Emma Stone) who is a 23 year old girl who has returned to her home in Jackson, Mississippi, to the south of the United States, after finishing his studies at the state university. With the idea of being a writer, in the middle of the 60s she begins to see her social environment with different eyes, while her mother only thinks of marrying her. She transforms her village as she writes a column on domestic chores for the local newspaper, befriends the black maids who work for the families of the town, including her own. In the process, Skeeter becomes a secret militant against discrimination, especially after her former best friend Hilly begins a campaign to pass a law that requires employers to provide separate toilets for "servitude". supposedly to prevent the spread of diseases. Skeeter knows from her own experience, having been raised by an African-American nurse as well as by her own mother (Allison Janney), that "maids" are an integral part of the family structure, and that requiring them to use segregated, lower-quality facilities is not It is only unfair, but cruel.
Crossing stories, speaks of racism, speaks of a blind society, dazed ignorant, speaks to us, and we feel that in the skin as the protagonists, strength, values and ideals, speaks of love for the another, without waiting for return, tells us about us.
The film speaks for itself, with some low blows but how they are always well sustained and justified.
This film is a great little story, of those that do not abound today on the big screen, it is a great story from its construction, from its direction and especially from its performances.
I would give crossed stories five stars and I would definitely recommend that you look at it!
