This week we hear about the ELTons and talk to Kieran Donaghy who won last year's Innovations in teacher resources award. He describes his website 'Film English', talks about the value of short films and shares some simple, practical ideas and activities on how teachers can work with films. He also gives a definition of 'cineliteracy' and explains why he feels it is an important aspect of our education.
The ELTons are the only international awards that recognise and celebrate innovation in the field of English language teaching. The award ceremony will be broadcast live on the EnglishAgenda website on May 22nd. The red-carpet interviews will be web-cast from 18.15 and the ceremony will start at 19.00, UK time.
