The annual ERF Reception and Awards Ceremony will take place in the Clyde Auditorium at IATEFL Glasgow on Wednesday 21st March 18.45-19.45. The event is sponsored by IATEFL, the British Council, and major publishers, and is hosted by Jeremy Harmer. Certificates will be presented to the winners of the five categories (Young Learners, Adolescent and Adult: Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Upper-intermediate and Advanced) and the finalists in this year’s competition will be announced. A lifetime achievement award, the John Milne Innovation Award, will be presented to Robert O’Neill.

TESOL ESP IS and IATEFL ESP SIG would like to invite ELT professionals from around the work to embark on a first joint online discussion titled English for Specific Purposes (ESP) around the world in academic and occupational contexts.
IATEFL will celebrate this significant moment by giving free membership to their 4,000th member. The steady increase in the number of members of IATEFL shows that there is a global need for an international association that teachers round the world can turn to. The organisation is now nearing the 4,000 member milestone and has 870 basic members from 101 affiliated teacher associations around the world.
