Visas and immigration
British Council accreditation remains valid for:
- Students from the European Economic Area (EEA)
- Short-term study visa for English language courses of up to 11 months
- Children on short courses (Child visitors)
It is important to find out what type of visa you need to be able study in the UK. The application process can take some time so make sure you apply well in advance. The Education UK website provides lots of information on applying for a visa. The type of study visa needed will depend on your age, the length of the course and the level of the course that you want to study.
