Theme: Delegation is one of the toughest challenges a manager or leader faces. Typical challenges are fighting the urge to control everything yourself, finding the right person to delegate to and providing the right amount of guidance and support. We will consider some of the psychological blocks and beliefs that stop us delegating in the first place and some tools for supporting successful delegation once you are committed to it. This will be a practical webinar which will end with you making a plan to delegate something the following Monday morning!
About the speaker: Duncan Foord is the Director of OxfordTEFL, Barcelona. He has 25 years experience in language teaching, teacher training and school leadership and management. He is the author of the Developing Teacher (Delta Publishing, 2009) and the Language Teachers Survival Handbook with Lindsay Clandfield (Its Magazines, 2008). He is lead trainer on the OxfordTEFL Leadership in ELT course (on line and face to face) and on the OxfordTEFL Trinity DipTESOL course.
